I have placed a deposit with local dealership for EV Mini, still at the point where it is refundable if I do not order. Still feel that the Mini is the first "city sized" EV available here in Canada other than the Smart Car. I am looking for a 2nd car for local drives so range not an issue and the Tesla is bigger than I want and I am hoping the Mini will be less expensive.

Welcome to the forum! the Mini should be a great second car for you! Is your daily driver another EV?

What did you dedice?
That's exactly why we just put a deposit down too - our other car is the Volvo XC40 Recharge (also EV) and GREAT for longer trips, super comfortable, carries my canoe for camping etc... but I wanted a second car that isn't all that... short trips... no need for cargo. The Smart Car doesn't seem available in Ontario at least. The only comparable I found was the Chevy Bolt (and it's still bigger). Euro has all kinds of smaller EVs but Canada is really lacking.
