Hello all,

Hope all is well. Please take a look at the attached pictures.

I just picked up my Mini SE in December/2022
Winter tires
Live in NY


I may have asked a similar question in the past, but, I am really confused of the indicator shown on the dashboard and it purpose.
Since i have owned the mini, the Mi/Kwh has ranged from 3.0 to 3.4. Most miles that I have experienced on a full charge is 94 with actual range around this amount.
Average Temp has been around 39 degrees. Car is garaged.

Would appreciate some guidance on what the purpose of the measure is? I can't find any information in the manual.
I have seen pictures of dashboards on the forum and it shows in some cases up to 4.5?

Also, i have attached a picture of which shows a 74% charge with 65 miles of range?
Any feedback on this ?

That number is showing the car's measurement for your average consumption, like "fuel economy". Instead of showing how many miles you can drive per gallon of fuel, it shows how many kWh you use to travel 1 mile.

You can multiply that number by the amount of available energy your battery has to estimate how many miles you can drive before you hit 0% state of charge. The amount of available energy you can use when fully-charged is 28.9 kWh, so an average consumption of 3.0 mi/kWh gives you a maximum range of 86.7 miles.

The second photo is a great example of how pessimistic the SE's Guess-O-Meter is. If you're averaging 3.4 mi/kWh and have 74% of charge left, you should be able to drive (28.9 x 0.74 x 3.4) = 72.7 miles before your battery hits 0% charge.

Thank you for your quick and great guidance.
So, for winter tires and the winter, in your opinion is the 3.4 mi/kWh a normal amount based on the time of year and winter tires.
So, when I switch to the summer tires and the weather gets warmer, what mi/kWh is anticipated?

Yes, colder weather and less efficient winter tires will result in a lower mi/kWh value than warmer weather and the more efficient summer tires MINI uses.

Last winter, my average consumption was 3.7 mi/kWh, and my average summer consumption was 4.1 mi/kWh. (Note that I'm using aftermarket wheels & tires in the summer that are a little less efficient than the stock setup.)
