No, still waiting! It seams they can’t make them fast enough. Half way through December only a few weeks left! At least I will be the most knowledgeable person in the world in all thing Cooper SE although I am getting sick of watching YouTube videos and reading reviews there’s only so many times you can hear “only 110 miles of range” before giving up the will to live.

Haha I know what you mean. The mileage thing is very subjective. And being in the uk 🇬🇧 the weather more than anything affects the mileage so so much. It’s clear that during the cold winter months we are in now a full charge will average 100 mile or less. When we are down near the freezing temperatures it’s 80 miles and less. When I first picked up the car it was during a really mild spell and it was up at 130 mile for a full charge…. Also the remaining mileage left that it states is very safe. I have often set off with 70 mile range and drove 50 miles to then still have 45 mile range when I get there.
Ive just ordered the Solarplexius tinted inserts for the 3 rear windows which will arrive in a couple of days! Yep, just need the car now.

Still no car, it’s supposed to be done and off the production line on the 14th Feb and I’ve postponed delivery until first week in march for the new reg. I figure I’ve waited long enough I can do a couple more weeks. Plus my birth date is the 22nd so in for a penny!!

I'd been driving the same car for 15 years. Needed a new car badly. My family saw me building the mini electric online many times, but I just didn't commit. When I heard the delays in delivery, I started looking at a Golf R or Mini JCW (gas), a few years old. THEN, I had one of those TV moments where you get surprised with a new car on Christmas day, with a bow on it!! Nothing has ever, ever, happened to me like that.

How? My wife not knowing anything (ignorance is bliss) about how hard this vehicle is to get, went to the dealership and they just happened to have three coming in the next day, two not sold already. One just happened to be the exact specifications I wanted (total black on black on black). Maybe there is a God? I could not believe the story.

This is not to make you feel bad. I just wanted to say that it is the funnest zippiest car I have ever driven and the wait will be worth it! Maybe by now it's literally on the way? Best of luck! Happy early birthday.

Congrats on getting one and props to your wife!
How are you liking the range, build quality, etc? Any pics of it?

Congrats on your new Mini SE! That's amazing that your wife did that for you! What were you driving before for the past 15 years?

Drove my wife’s first car she ever bought when she was in college, Acura 1.7 EL, basically a glorified Honda Civic. Perfect commuter car for the time. Driving this Mini, it’s just something else!

I’m one of those lucky people who has a short commute, so I keep it in the mid or sometimes in sport. On my 15- 20 min, 15 km commute, city driving only, no highways, In green plus I have done it using only 5%, and regular green mode, about 8 or 9%. In mid about 12% used, in sport I can go through 20% or more.

No complaints about the build quality. Our family vehicle is a Lexus 3:50 RX 2017, previously it was an Audi Q5 3.2L. I’ve never driven a BMW, but build quality is on par with the Audi style. I love everything about it. So I’ll tell you what is not perfect.

I absolutely absolutely hate the seatbelt chime.
I often forget to close the charging cover and then get reminder to go back out and close it before you drive. But that’s getting better. I realized you have to give it a bit of time for apple car play to connect, If you start fidgeting around, you have more trouble getting it connected. Once it works, it works great.
I could use wider cup holders but it’s fine.

The fact the screen is touch, is the best thing about the screen. Makes everything so much easier. Someone made the comment that getting into this car at night feels like you’re getting into a video game!

The two main places I park, at home and at work, I have a normal plug available, and it’s always ready to go. Once a week or every two weeks I let the battery run to about 30%, other than that I just plug and go, I don’t think about it. You will read all kinds of things in terms of the battery care, in the grand scheme of things, Just be smart with your battery. If you can predominantly trickle charge, I’d do that.
