Seems like China isn't excited about upcoming MINI EV...
The Arcfox is a Beijing auto brand, which ONLY produces electric vehicles. This is the all new Arcfox Lite, one of the most significant electric cars to hit the Chinese car market this year. The car is aimed at young city based generation.

With a price of $14,160 – 16,122, Chinesse Mini offers a lot of modern features and even LED displays fore and aft where the driver and the passenger can display their own massages.

What do you think?

That is such a weird looking tail end, like they just took a knife and chopped of a chunk for giggles. The front looks like a Range Rover.
Can't say I would choose this over a Mini EV if what Mini produces looks like the concept.
I wouldn't choose Arcfox over a Mini EV anyways, first of all, because it's the model for Chinese market only and they have a different quality standards there. But I like some of their ideas, especially that LED display on the front and its infotainment system. I'm 100% sure that this vehicle will not hit any other markets, but it's a good and cheap option for China.
Doubt the concept and its features will travel outside of China, but I do have to give them brownie points for imagination. That rear signal lights is certainly eye catching.

I don't think that they were aimed to go outside of China, the maximum what they will do is spread this vehicle around other Asian countries like Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan. Anyways, I don't know how good this car is in terms of quality, but its exterior and interior look fancy and futuristic. I give China another point for imagination! :)
Although we might not see this exact model make it to the North American market, what might happen is we get the same powertrain and drivetrain under a shell thats far more compliant to North American safety regulations. That will get them past a major barrier.

Do you mean that we might see almost the same car under a well-known brand name??

I remember reading an article about Ford explores electric-car partnership with Chinese automaker, do you think that we might see some kind of partnership between Ford and Chinese manufacturer in the future?
Speaking of partnership with Chinese manufacturers, BMW is talking with other automakers "around the world" to try to find partners to lower the cost of electrifying its future Mini small cars. Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor said last month it was discussing a possible venture to build Mini vehicles in China. What do you think about this kind of partnership?
The Great Wall Motor and Arcfox are not from the same conglomerate, so probably we won't see any identical cues, however, I found another interesting detail about Arcfox brand. Former Volkswagen Group design boss Walter de Silva has come out of retirement to join German engineering consultancy EDAG, and his first task was to design a fleet of cars for a Chinese electric car startup Arcfox. So, I guess we underestimated the potential of Arcfox brand.

Even if they come out with something, its a crowded market and whatever they do needs to stand out big time. Tesla is a good example of a new car maker that made its mark and that's not something we have always seen, rare actually.
Agree, Tesla example is unique and rare, but there are different ways to enter the existing market. For example, they can provide a great quality product for a cheap price in the beginning stage, just to create brand awareness around them. There are a lot of marketing strategies and tactics, they just need to pick the one that fits their product line and brand ideology.
