For 2021, Mini brought out a new Countryman SE plug-in hybrid.
"After a hiatus for the 2020 model year, 2021 brings with it a new Countryman SE plug-in hybrid. A number of cosmetic changes have been implemented on this model, along with the rest of the gas-only Countryman range. LED headlights and fog lights are standard on all trims and the front and rear have both been restyled too. New alloy wheels are available, as are some new color options. Upholstery choices have been updated, while a Piano Black package is available if you don’t like chrome accents. In this hybrid model, the front wheels are powered by a three-cylinder turbocharged gas motor while the rears get motivation from an electric synchronous motor. All in all, the Cooper SE Countryman produces 224 horsepower, an increase of three over the pre-facelift derivative. No details have been released as to whether fuel economy or range have been affected, but the 0-60 mph time drops to 6.5 seconds, down from 6.7 in the outgoing version." ~ CB
